Biology

• CBE Online Style Guide: an addendum to the 6th edition of Scientific Style and Format (the CBE documentation guide) that provides instructions and examples for correct format.

Business

• Business and Technical Correspondence Overview: Covers letters (inquiry, application, complaint) and resumes, with examples; discusses format and composition.
• General Business Writing Issues (from Purdue's Online Writing Lab): Discusses basic business etiquette, revision, writing for specific audiences, and tone; business and sales letters, memo writing, and report abstracts; many examples.

Chemistry

• ACS(American Chemical Society): information about academic writing in the field.
• ACS Style Quick Guide: Guidelines from Univ. of California Berkeley.

Engineering

• IEEE Style Sheet: guidelines for correct in-text and end-of-text citations.
• Reference Guide: IEEE Style: a no-fluff site that covers IEEE basics from the University of Illinois.
• ASABE: Guidelines for authors from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.

History

Historians tend to use Turabian (also called the Chicago Manual of Style). However, we recommend that students check with their instructors regarding which citation style to use for papers in history courses; at UCF, professors have recommended all three styles listed below:

• Turabian or Chicago manual of Style, 16^th edition (CMS)

Law

Miscellaneous

• Duke Libraries Guide to Research: Includes examples of the most recent APA citation style, as well as MLA and Chicago styles.

• AIP (American Institute of Physics): information and resources for publishing in the field of physics.

Political Science

• APSA: Tips for using APSA. Also includes examples (from the University of Wisconsin-Madison).

Psychology

• APA (American Psychological Association): central site for the most recent (6^th edition) APA guidelines and information.
• APA - Psychology with Style: A Hypertext Writing Guide by M. Plonsky, Ph. D. of the University of Wisconsin: handy site with guidelines for correct in-text and end-of-text citations (Important! While still useful, this site follows the 4th edition of the APA style guide.)
